Finally, the day has come! On Wednesday the 6th of November we were on our way to camp. We were all excited but some of us were as nervous as a mouse but brave like a Knight… (1 hour and 20 min) We were finally there. Consider the first step of camp done. We were starting to unpack when St. Therese came. We all had no clue what their names were but we had to somehow get to know them. As it appeared to me that I was starting to get hungry. (15 minutes later) We were all so eager to play something so St. Therese wanted to play as well we played tag. After a while, we heard a bell going on and off like a flash of light and that was meant to assemble.
As we assembled to the main room at camp the man who was running it looked familiar. His name was (Linden) He seemed to be the owner but how? This question occurred to me as a question this whole entire time but I was pretty sure that he had some help. I was excited and also wondering what was going to be our first activity? But no one had a clue. The man (Linden) had given us a tour around the camp and that was all but not yet. We started to have an assembly on what our first activity was. From there I was stunned and I was about to explode like a volcano is active.
Our first activity was the Balancing Island led by our teacher Miss Payton. For a while, I so happy-like a troll and I thought to myself that it was going to be fun but then I realized that it was terrifying and so wobbly. I had to ask myself so many questions like going to fall off? Should I be worried? Is there some sort of rules? I was so terrified but it was fun at the end… (A while later) We had finished and it was time for Lunch. Already I could smell the delicious food.
From then on we were on our way to the dining room where we had to eat. Everyone was so hungry we were all about to die. As we were told to do things it was fantastic seeing how the food looked like it was satisfying and remarkable. (5 minutes later) We started to eat food and it was yummy and delicious like we were in a restaurant. From when I took my first bite and in fact I felt like I was in heaven.
The next activity was Kayaking. When I first started Kayaking I fell off how many times. We had some rules but it was perfectly fine. We hopped on the kayaks but we always remember to wear your safety life jacket. Kayaking was fun but super exhausting. My arms felt like they were in a marathon I had to relax and carry on. You are probably thinking that is was boring but it was fun. We even played tag on the Kayaks.
Then finally the day finished. We had dinner. We had roasted chicken and amazing coleslaw. As you begin to take a bite out of your chicken you already feel like you need to go for seconds. After all that it was time to go to bed before you go to bed. (20 minutes later) We had to get ready for sleeping time and everyone on level 9 they were talking and whispering. At times some got in trouble and some were dying to sleep. I was beginning to fall asleep when all I felt was Reyna tapping me to see if I was still awake but then I fell asleep.
Next-Day we were all tired and it was sunny. We were told that we had (10
minutes) to get ready and have breakfast so then we had to get ready for activities, and there we were on our to our activities. My group had our first activities the Confidence Course at first I was nervous and didn’t want to go on it until Nigel had fallen in and it looks fun, at the beginning it was like swinging through the jungle but it didn’t happen I fell off and splash then it was balancing on a log and off curse it felt like falling off a branch. (20 minutes later) we were finished and had our next activity… Our next activity was Rafting the last water activity we had not really only the water slide to go but this was like the last water activity so then we had started to get building our rafts and many more. (10 minutes later ) We were finished and from there we were done but not for just for that day, there is more. Then we had Morning Tea which was biscuits as you know not too much to eat before we get or something like that.
After we had Morning Tea we were on our way to our next activity and it was Archery. We had many rules but they weren’t boring. So from there everyone had so many turns and well it was fun but there was that one rule that was very important. So here it is… The rule goes like this after you have finished your turn and the others are not finished you must wait if you don't then it is a bad thing. (A few minutes later) We were done and it was time for Lunch.
Lunch was Macaroon and cheese delicious when I tasted it was magnificent. So from there on, I was wanting more but I forgot about the other activities, so no more until dinner. The next activity we had was Team Building I was pretty sure it was going to be fun. So then we had tried the first thing and it was balancing on a log and well there was a record and so instead of us losing to the record, we made it. We were happy that it was a world record but it wasn't that world record you know.
The next day it was all about cleaning and our last activity so then we were all getting ready packing up before we go to our last activity. After that my last activity with my group was Go-cart and it was scary, I did not want to go until some people went and I was excited to go. So I finally was brave and started to go on Go carts and it was scary but cool, and it was time to go clean the rooms and set up for lunch.
It was lunchtime and we had burgers with fries. The burger was like I just bought McDonald’s but it wasn’t while we were eating, some people were performing the items they prepared. (20 minutes later) We were getting on the bus and off we were heading back to school I had wished that we were there longer. On our way we were watching a movie it was Rio 2 after a few hours and minutes we were at school and well all our parents we waiting for us.
After all that I was exhausted and tired and went home and slept.
